Ethics at the Heart of Education
At PTSEC, we believe that ethical conduct is not optional — it is foundational. Every educator who works with our students is expected to uphold the values of honesty, respect, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to student well-being.
Our standards are grounded in Florida's Principles of Professional Conduct for the Education Profession (Rule 6A-10.081), which govern all certified educators in the state of Florida.
Families can trust that every adult in our building is held accountable to these standards — and that we take any violation seriously.

Florida's Principles of Professional Conduct establish the ethical obligations of all certified educators. PTSEC staff are expected to know, understand, and abide by these principles at all times.

Compliance with Law & Policy
All PTSEC educators are expected to comply fully with Florida law, state board of education rules, and school policies.
- Adhere to Florida's Principles of Professional Conduct (Rule 6A-10.081)
- Fulfill mandatory reporter obligations under Florida law
- Follow all school policies and administrative directives
- Maintain required certifications and licensure
Prohibited Conduct
Certain behaviors are strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action, termination, or referral to the Florida Department of Education.
- Any form of physical, emotional, or sexual misconduct with students
- Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind
- Falsification of records, grades, or credentials
- Use of school resources for personal gain or unauthorized purposes
Reporting Educator Misconduct
If you have a concern about the conduct of a PTSEC educator, please contact school administration immediately. Concerns may also be reported directly to the Florida Department of Education's Office of Professional Practices Services.
